Prepare a tall glass half full of ice. Take a segment of lime and cut a small slit into it. Run the lime around the top of the glass to give a lime juice edge. Squeeze the lime segment into the glass, drop the lime in. Fill the glass with ice.

Pour in the gin and cointreau orange liqueur. Top up with tonic water.
