Prepare mint mixture by boiling 2 cups of water, 2 cups of sugar and roughly half a cup of freshly chopped mint leaves. Simmer until it reduces into syrup. Strain out leaves and let cool. Fill a short chilled glass with copped ice, 4oz of KENTUCKY whiskey, and 2 tsps of minty syrup or to taste. Stir, and then garnish with fresh mint leaf and sip slowly.
